Data Developer

We are seeking a skilled Data Developer to design, develop, and maintain data-driven solutions that support large-scale enterprise systems. This role focuses on building robust ETL pipelines, database structures, and reporting solutions to enable data analysis and business decision-making.The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with strong expertise in T-SQL, SSIS, and data visualization tools, capable of working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with evolving requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain T-SQL code for database objects and ETL processes Build and optimize ETL solutions using SSIS Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Support and enhance SSRS reporting solutions Participate in all phases of the data development lifecycle Perform impact analysis and provide development estimates for change requests Collaborate in design and requirement definition sessions Translate business requirements into technical specifications Analyze and resolve data defects and performance issues Work with data architects to align solutions with data architecture standards Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems Analyze datasets to identify missing, incomplete, or invalid data Document database structures, data flows, and transformations Collaborate with cross-functional teams including BA, QA, and Project Management Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) Required SkillsStrong expertise in T-SQL (Expert level) Hands-on experience with SSIS (ETL development) Experience with SQL Server database development Strong understanding of relational database design and data modeling Experience with Power BI and SSRS or similar BI tools Solid knowledge of data development best practices and patterns Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Preferred SkillsExperience with Microsoft Azure data technologies Knowledge of Data Vault modeling methodology Strong background in data modeling and architecture Exposure to advanced data visualization tools Required Experience5+ years of professional experience in data development with relational databases Preferred ExperienceExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments Experience in Education or Government domains Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards
