Our engaged team leads with integrity, and unites with purpose, driving toward innovation and continuous improvement every day.POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Jr. Production Programmer Machinist has an exciting opportunity as an up-and-comer in their career to own the entire production machining process, while helping support the production lines. The ideal candidate will utilize their strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills to program, set-up, and operate a variety of machine tools to produce or modify parts. This Machinist will excel in trouble-shooting and setting up HAAS machines, as well as creating and modifying simple lathe and mill programs. The ideal candidate will read/write canned cycles, and have a strong desire for continuous education and learn CAD/CAM as the need arises. To excel in this role, the Jr. Production Programmer Machinist will be able to exercise their organizational and detail-oriented skills to deliver high quality product for the organization.RESPONSIBILITIES:Program at the control, set-up and operate CNC lathes and mills (Haas preferred) to produce precision replacement and low volume partsDetermine a machining strategy for low volume partsDetermine the proper tools/speeds/feeds for each jobOperate a Prototrak mill and lathe to modify existing partsEnsure accuracy and quality using precision measuring tools, and maintain tight tolerances across small quantity production runsDocument processes and maintain accurate records for repeatability and machine shop knowledge retentionContribute to continuous improvement of machining practices, including process efficiency, tooling selection, and shop organization (6S)QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or Equivalent3+ Years of machine programming experienceFamiliarity with G-Code programming and conversational programming (Prototrak, Hass)Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materialStrong mathematical skills with the ability to read and navigate blueprints, schematics and manualsAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and climb up/down a ladderProficient with Microsoft SuiteOUR EMPLOYEE VALUE PROPOSITION:Market competitive benefits package, including company-sponsored health coverage, life insurance, 401(k) plan with company match, paid paternal leave and paid time offWork in a collaborative environment with passionate and innovative teammates$85 annual bonus applied toward mandatory steel toe bootsSolve is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination or harassment of any kind.
