Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Job DescriptionLocation: South GeorgiaPosition OverviewJoin the dynamic anesthesia team at a leading hospital in South Georgia as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). This full-time, 1099 position offers competitive compensation of $350,000 annually, 6 weeks of vacation, and a balanced 1:8 call schedule with no weekend call and a post-call day off. Work in a supportive care team model under medical direction, collaborating with 10 full-time CRNAs and anesthesiologists.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister anesthesia for various surgical and procedural cases, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Perform ultrasound-guided regional blocks for orthopedic cases (shoulders, knees, ankles) and place epidurals for obstetric and other procedures. Manage anesthesia for out-of-OR procedures in the cath lab and MRI, and provide anesthesia for healthy pediatric patients, typically ENT cases over age 1, dental cases over age 3, and rare general surgeries.Case TypesThe role involves predominantly bread-and-butter cases, including:General surgery, endoscopy, and thoracic cases (carotids, no hearts)Obstetric cases requiring epidural placementOrthopedic procedures focusing on shoulders, knees, and anklesOut-of-OR cases in the cath lab and MRI No trauma, pain management, or critical care cases are involved.Skills and QualificationsCandidates must hold:Current CRNA certification and Georgia state licensure (or eligibility)Proficiency in ultrasound-guided regional blocks for orthopedic casesExpertise in epidural placement for obstetric and other procedures Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with comfort managing anesthesia for healthy pediatric patients.Practice DetailsThe care team model includes working under medical direction with a cohesive team of 10 full-time CRNAs and anesthesiologists, with 9-10 CRNAs on duty daily.
