Forward Deployed Engineer

Overview As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will build and deploy a focused document-analysis app that sits atop an existing commercial intelligence engine. You’ll work with customer stakeholders, regulatory specialists, and the core engineering team to convert requirements into a reliable analyst workflow. You will implement ingestion, search, classification, and export features while coordinating with the platform team. This role combines hands-on engineering with customer-facing collaboration to solve regulatory and data-processing challenges at scale. ResponsibilitiesTranslate approved workflows into application requirements, data schemas and acceptance testsImplement ingestion, normalization, search, categorization, source traceability, analyst review and export featuresConnect to authorized data sources and government interfaces; identify access dependenciesBuild a reviewer interface for corrections, multiple issue mappings, and audit historyEvaluate retrieval, classification and summary quality with regulatory expertsTest duplicate handling, attachment coverage, reconciliation, high-volume processing and reproducible exportsImplement authentication, permissions, logging, monitoring, backups and deployment controlsSupport accessibility validation, security reviews, release management, technical documentation and incident resolutionCoordinate changes with the core platform team and maintain component inventory Key requirementsFour (4) or more years related experienceBachelor’s Degree in a related area or equivalent experience (Four (4) years)Excellent customer serviceStrong written and verbal English communicationCollaborative cross-team workStrong software engineering experience delivering production applications and integrating APIs and data pipelinesProficiency in a modern application stack, database design, automated validation and cloud operationsPractical experience with retrieval or language-model applications, evaluation and source-grounded outputs
