Data Platform Engineer

Overview As a Data Platform Engineer at MPR, you will design and build scalable data processing applications and analytics solutions. You’ll work at the intersection of software and data engineering, delivering cloud-based data platforms that transform raw data into actionable insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support engineering design, analysis, and optimization. This role combines hands-on development with system-level thinking to handle large data volumes and high-throughput workloads. ResponsibilitiesBuild data applications using languages like C++, C#, Java (or equivalent) for data processingDesign and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for large data volumesDevelop and deploy data solutions on AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda)Implement visualization and reporting solutions to make data accessible to stakeholdersOptimize performance for high-throughput data processingCollaborate with the engineering team to meet client needs across projects Key requirementsU.S. Citizenship is requiredBachelor’s degree in an Engineering DisciplineTwo (2) or more years of software engineering experienceProficiency in C# and PythonUnderstanding of database systems and data modelingComfortable with structured and unstructured dataStrong problem-solving skills for performance and scalabilityExperience building data processing pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows (preferred)Hands-on experience with AWS data services and cloud architecture (preferred)Familiarity with data visualization platforms and reporting systems (preferred)Experience building production applications that process significant volumesExperience building user-facing applications with data backends (preferred)Proficiency in C++ (preferred)快速学习和适应能力跨团队协作能力优秀的书面与口头沟通能力C#, PythonC++ (preferred)Java (preferred)
