Instructional Designer
Key Responsibilities:Analyze learner needs and collaborate with SMEs to design and develop effective learning solutionsConduct needs‐analysis discussions with stakeholders to define project scope and requirementsPlan, design, write, and edit instructional materials, including e‐learning, simulations, guides, tutorials, and assessmentsCoordinate and manage instructional design projects using ADDIEMaintain and update training content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business goalsDevelop supplemental learning assets such as job aids, infographics, and other multimedia resourcesRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Instructional Design Technology or related fieldInstructional design experience in e‐learning, in‐person, and blended learningExperience applying learning frameworks and ADDIEUnderstanding of adult learning principlesExperience with project and stakeholder managementBackground in Energy, Corporate L&D, Healthcare, or Higher Education preferredExperience with Co-pilot and AI add-on for Articulate 360 preferredRequired Technical SkillsProficiency with Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Suite (portfolio required)Strong working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAbility to work effectively in virtual conferencing platforms (Webex, Teams)Ability to develop and maintain instructional materials including multimedia, simulations, and e‐learningAbility to manage project plans, timelines, and documentationWhat Success Looks LikeDesigning highly interactive, effective content that supports organizational outcomesBuilding trusted partnerships with subject matter experts across OperationsGaining a foundational understanding of MISO's business and how Technical Development drives valueDemonstrating MISO's core values in daily workThe base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $79,000-104,000, USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.
