K–12 Core Content Teacher (Elementary and Secondary)

Position SummaryThe K–12 Core Content Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and supporting student academic achievement in accordance with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and district curriculum standards. This position may include teaching students in Elementary (Grades K–6) or Secondary (Grades 6–12) classrooms in one or more core academic areas including English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.Teachers are expected to create a safe, engaging, and student-centered learning environment that promotes academic growth, critical thinking, collaboration, and college and career readiness. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong instructional practices, classroom management skills, and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstruction and Curriculum:Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with TEKS, district curriculum, and instructional goalsDeliver engaging, standards-based instruction in assigned content area(s):-Elementary Core Subjects (Grades K–6)-Secondary English Language Arts (ELA)-Secondary Mathematics-Secondary Science-Secondary Social StudiesUtilize a variety of instructional strategies, interventions, and technology tools to support student learningDifferentiate instruction to address varying academic levels, learning styles, language proficiency, and special education accommodationsIncorporate critical thinking, problem-solving, literacy, and collaborative learning opportunities into daily instructionClassroom Environment and Student Support:Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learningImplement effective classroom management techniques that support student engagement and appropriate behaviorBuild positive relationships with students that encourage academic confidence, responsibility, and respectMonitor student attendance, behavior, and academic progress and provide timely interventions when neededSupport the social, emotional, and developmental needs of studentsAssessment and Data AnalysisAssess student performance through formal and informal assessmentsMaintain accurate and timely records of grades, attendance, and student progressAnalyze student achievement data to guide instructional decisions and improve outcomesProvide timely feedback to students and parents regarding academic progressCommunication and CollaborationCollaborate with teachers, instructional coaches, interventionists, counselors, and administrators to support student successMaintain professional relationships with colleagues and contribute positively to campus cultureProfessional ResponsibilitiesParticipate in required professional development and training opportunitiesMaintain compliance with district policies, state regulations, and Texas educator standardsDemonstrate professionalism, ethical conduct, reliability, and accountabilityQualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityValid Texas Teaching Certification appropriate for assigned grade level and subject areaBilingual in Spanish (required)ESL Certified or in process of obtaining certificationAbility to pass federal background check requirementsKnowledge of TEKS, curriculum development, and effective instructional practicesStrong classroom management and organizational skillsProficiency with educational technology and digital learning platformsPreferred QualificationsExperience teaching diverse student populationsPrevious classroom teaching experience preferredAbility to teach multiple subject areas or grade levels preferredCompensation & Benefits: Salary $85,000Includes:401(k) with employer match$9000 yearly Lifestyle & Wellness Stipend (to be used at your discretion for health insurance premiums and travel costs)We offer a generous paid time off package that includes 8 company holidays, two weeks of paid winter break, one week of paid spring break, two weeks of paid summer break, and 10 days of flexible vacation/sick leaveOptional Voluntary Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance available (100% employee-paid via payroll deduction)Additional InformationThis position is full-time and year-round.
