Litigation Administrative AssistantLocation: Downtown San Diego, CA Practice Area: Commercial Business Defense - Civil Litigation Salary Range: $70,000 - $95,000 annually + benefits Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) | Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)About the RoleAn Am Law 100 firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Administrative Assistant to join our collaborative and high-performing team in our Downtown San Diego office. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.You will play a critical role in supporting attorneys and paralegals across complex commercial, civil, and business defense litigation matters, providing both high-level administrative and legal support.Key ResponsibilitiesManage attorney calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, and client meetingsCoordinate travel arrangements and process monthly expense reportsPrepare, revise, and finalize legal documents, including correspondence and pleadingsPerform electronic filing (e-filing) in State and Federal courtsSchedule depositions, mediations, and client meetingsCommunicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnelAssist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including trial preparation and attendanceConduct conflict checks and assist with opening new client mattersMaintain and organize electronic case files and document management systemsSupport billing processes, including invoice preparation and time entry coordinationMaintain and update client and contact informationHandle additional administrative and clerical tasks as neededQualificationsMinimum 4+ years of recent litigation experience in a law firm environmentStrong experience with State and Federal e-filing (required)Background supporting commercial, civil, or business defense litigationExcellent writing, editing, and communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlinesHighly organized, detail-oriented, and proactiveStrong collaboration skills with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staffProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with document management, docketing systems, and billing/time entry software preferredTop QualificationsMinimum 4 years of State & Federal e-filing experienceStrong background in litigation and commercial business defenseExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and merit-based raisesComprehensive benefits package (healthcare, retirement plans, PTO)A collaborative and supportive team environmentOpportunity to work alongside top-tier attorneys in a nationally recognized law firm All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
