Principal Network Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust network infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure communication across a large organization.• Serve as a subject matter expert, advising on network device configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and performance monitoring.• Troubleshoot highly complex network issues, leading system optimization and automation efforts to enhance efficiency and scalability.• Drive the adoption of innovative technologies and best-in-class industry standards to maintain a cutting-edge network environment.• Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of network failures.• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of strong network security measures to protect against threats and ensure data integrity.What You'll Need• Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience, typically reflecting 10+ years in networking.• 6+ years of experience in networking (Routing, Switching, SD-WAN) with a strong understanding of Software Defined Networks.• Experience with network design, implementation, and troubleshooting, including expertise in WAN technologies and protocols.• Experience across various network domains including switching, routing, firewalls, load-balancing, DNS, and DHCP.• Ability to develop low-level designs for proposed network architectures.• Preferred knowledge of network automation and scripting using tools like Python, Bash, and Docker.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary ($144,000 - $200,000) plus eligibility for a discretionary incentive award.• Comprehensive benefits program available.• Opportunity to lead and influence network infrastructure strategy within a global organization.• Continuous learning and development opportunities in emerging network technologies.Apply via Haystack today!
