Mechanical Project ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The role is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering HVAC, plumbing, process piping and MEP systems on time, within budget and to quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will bridge design and field teams, manage subcontractors, control costs and schedules, and ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical projects from preconstruction, bid and planning through installation, commissioning and turnover.Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets and forecasts; implement cost control measures and track progress against milestones.Coordinate mechanical design and installation for HVAC, plumbing, process piping and MEP systems; review drawings and specifications for constructability and scope clarity.Manage subcontractor selection, scopes of work, contracts, performance and onsite coordination.Oversee site activities to ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance and adherence to project plans and specifications.Prepare and review submittals, RFIs, change orders and technical documentation; coordinate approvals with engineers, architects and owners.Collaborate with procurement, estimating and field teams to ensure materials and equipment are procured and delivered on schedule.Provide regular project reporting to stakeholders, lead meetings, and mentor junior staff to develop project team capabilities.QualificationsBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline, or equivalent technical experience.5+ years of progressive mechanical construction project management experience, with direct oversight of HVAC, plumbing, MEP and process piping projects.Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules and subcontractors in commercial, industrial or institutional settings.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping practices, codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, local plumbing/mechanical codes) and construction safety requirements.Proficient with project management and construction software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera) and experience reading and coordinating construction drawings and BIM models (Revit preferred).Excellent leadership, communication and problemsolving skills; ability to engage clients, engineers and trade partners effectively.Certifications such as PMP, CCM or OSHA 30 are desirable; valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.BenefitsHealth/Dental/VisionHealth ReimbursementLife Insurance and AD&DShort- & Long-term Disability401(k)Holidays OffVacation & Sick Leave
