We offer a competitive salary complimented by a full range of benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k), profit sharing, and generous paid time off.KEY CONTRIBUTIONSPrepare, edit, and proof briefs, motions, discovery, pleadings, memos, correspondence and other similar documents and reportsPerform complex administrative duties requiring knowledge of legal terminology and legal processesFile briefs, pleadings, and other filings in district/state/federal court as neededSchedule and coordinate logistics for meetings, travel and depositionsMaintain calendars including court deadlines and appearancesAnswer incoming calls, prepare documents for shipment, and distribute mailGreet and interact with clients and visitors to the firm’s offices and notify appropriate personnel of the arrival of guestsEnter billable time into the firm’s billing software and submit expense reimbursementsOpen and maintain client files, cases, and organizational documentsRespond to inquiries for informationSchedule conference rooms, manage conference room calendars and set-up instructions, and maintain reception area and conference room appearancesCoordinate lunch orders such as Lunchbox program, catering for meetings, monthly celebrations, and flowers or gifts for special occasionsOther responsibilities as neededThe EssentialsAssociate’s degree or equivalent form two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceGeneral IP experience is preferred; experience with IP docketing systems is a plusProfessional appearance and demeanor with commitment to providing exceptional client serviceHighly-organized, detail oriented, and proactive with a desire to take ownership as a contributing member of the teamBalance competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, exercising patience and professionalism during stressful situationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Word and OutlookSome overtime may be requiredEOE/M/F/Vet/DisabledBurr & Forman is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to recruiting, hiring, developing, and promoting lawyers and staff without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, military and protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, transgender status, sex stereotyping, or disability.Please view Equal Employment Opportunity, E-Verify, and other related posters at www.burr.com/careers/working-at-burr.Company DescriptionBurr & Forman’s experienced legal team serves clients with local, national, and international legal needs.
