This position is generally scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with some flexibility in hours depending on program needs. The teacher designs and delivers engaging virtual instruction while differentiating lessons to meet the diverse academic needs of individual students. Responsibilities include teaching multiple grade levels and courses, monitoring student progress, and providing regular feedback and support to ensure mastery of learning objectives. The Virtual Teacher maintains regular communication with students to support academic success in a virtual learning environment.This position requires a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students. The successful candidate will demonstrate a dedication to ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed, recognizing and addressing barriers to academic achievement.QualificationsValid State of Oregon Teaching License in any endorsement area.Preference may be given to those who are bilingual in Spanish and English.Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public; ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to respond to telephone, bells, students, co-workers, etc.; ability to respond to workplace disturbances, visual cues, requests, etc.; ability to read written materials; ability to operate office equipment; ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs), and occasionally climb a ladder.
