Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: - Work every other weekend schedule - Float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran - Care for pulmonary and medical surgical patients on 23-bed unit - Work with patients requiring bi-pap, trach care, and ventilated patients - Administer heparin drips and provide charge nurse responsibilities - 24 months of Med Surg experience required - Pulmonary patient care experience required - Experience with ventilated patients highly preferred - Charge experience required - Level I trauma experience highly preferred - Will accept first-time travelers if 2 years Med Surg experience requirement is met - Must be able to start orientation on 4/13 - EMR system: Epic - Required certifications: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) - Iowa nursing license required (compact/multistate accepted) - Skills checklist specific to medical surgical discipline required - Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred Facility: This healthcare organization operates multiple campus locations providing comprehensive medical services including Level I trauma care.
