Do you enjoy defining clean, efficient interfaces between the two? We're looking for a seasoned digital design engineer to join our cellular modem team, where you'll architect and implement protocol processing hardware for next-generation wireless SoCs.You'll own the full lifecycle-from early architectural exploration and HW/SW partitioning, through RTL implementation, to silicon bring-up and lab validation. You'll collaborate closely with firmware, systems, and verification teams to deliver hardware that balances performance, flexibility, and power efficiency.**Minimum Qualifications**+ BS with 3 + years of relevant industry experience.+ Strong background in digital logic design using Verilog, including timing closure in deep sub-micron processes.+ Experience with low-power design techniques.+ Proficiency with AMBA bus protocols (AXI, AHB) or similar on-chip NoC interconnects.+ Proficiency with RTL simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis tools.+ Experience designing high-performance DMA engines connected to DRAM (DDR) and/or PCIe.**Preferred Qualifications**+ MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.+ Experience implementing hardware for cellular MAC/RLC/PDCP, WiFi or similar data-link layer protocols.+ Experience with HW/SW co-design and defining hardware-software interfaces.+ Experience with network infrastructure architecture (e.g. routers, access points)+ Experience with TCP/IP networking.+ Knowledge of security algorithms (AES or similar encryption and integrity protection protocols).+ Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up and lab debug.+ Experience with architectural modeling in C/C++ or SystemC.Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
