Principal Java Software Engineer (Onsite)
Location: Richardson, Texas, U.S. Position: Onsite. U.S. citizenship and current TS/SCI security clearance required.What You Will DoGuide the development team in technical decision‐making, ensuring best practices and high code quality.Design and maintain software system architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.Review code and mentor team members to improve technical skills and adherence to standards.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align technical implementations with business objectives.Diagnose and resolve technical challenges, debugging issues and implementing effective solutions.Assist in project planning, estimate timelines, manage technical risks to ensure successful delivery.Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate innovative solutions into projects.Maintain proper documentation of code, systems, and processes.QualificationsMinimum 8 years of relevant experience in Java and Agile Java development.Experience with Object‐Oriented design, architecture on large‐scale production systems.Active, transferable TS/SCI U.S. government‐issued security clearance, U.S. citizenship.Preferred QualificationsSTEM degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.Experience with Git, Chef, Ruby, Python, Groovy, SQL, NoSQL, AWS (S3, SQS, SNS), Apache Felix, Velocity, Spring Boot/Integration/Framework, Docker, Kubernetes, Hibernate.AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.Experience managing senior program leadership, cross‐disciplinary collaboration, and Git/Bitbucket/Jenkins administration.Strong analytical, problem‐solving, communication, and facilitation skills.BenefitsCompetitive salary range: $107,500 – $204,500.Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) match.Paid time off, holiday schedule, parental leave, flexible work schedule.Relocation assistance, educational assistance, career development and recognition programs.RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
