Job Title: Network Security Engineer – Microsegmentation Location: Irving, TXAdditional Locations: Chandler, AZ | Charlotte, NC | Brevard, NCEmployment Type: Contract (12 Months)Pay Rate: $57/hr W2 ($53.50/hr W2 for H1B)Work Authorization: USC, GC, H4, L2, TN, H1B TransferWe are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer – Microsegmentation to support a large enterprise Zero Trust Security initiative. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining workload-level segmentation across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments using Illumio or similar microsegmentation technologies.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network security, firewall technologies, traffic analysis, and security policy enforcement. You will work closely with Security, Network Engineering, Infrastructure, and Application teams to improve enterprise security posture, reduce lateral movement risk, and enable secure application connectivity while maintaining production stability.Key Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain enterprise microsegmentation and Zero Trust security policies.Configure and manage Illumio VEN agents across Windows and Linux servers.Analyze network traffic, application dependencies, and security telemetry to develop effective segmentation policies.Perform policy validation, support production deployments, migrations, change management, and troubleshooting.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve network security, firewall policies, and workload protection.Monitor security events using Splunk or other SIEM platforms and investigate security incidents.Develop Python automation scripts and maintain security documentation, governance, and operational procedures.Required Skills:Network Security EngineeringMicrosegmentation (Illumio preferred)Zero Trust ArchitectureFirewalls, TCP/IP, Routing, Load BalancersSplunk or other SIEM toolsWindows & Linux AdministrationPython ScriptingStrong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skillsExperience:5+ years of experience in Network Security Engineering or Security Engineering.Hands-on experience implementing Illumio or similar microsegmentation solutions in enterprise environments.Experience with hybrid cloud, production support, and security policy enforcement is highly preferred.
