Onto Innovation strives to optimize customers’ critical path of progress by making them smarter, faster and more efficient.Position SummaryJob Summary & ResponsibilitiesThe Principal Sales Operations Analyst provides advanced analytical systems, and process support to the global sales organization to improve forecast accuracy, operational efficiency, and revenue outcomes. This role independently owns complex initiatives across the order‑to‑revenue lifecycle, serves as a subject‑matter expert in sales operations processes and tools, and partners cross‑functionally to deliver executive‑ready insights that support informed decision‑making.The Principal Analyst operates with limited supervision, manages competing priorities across multiple stakeholders, and provides guidance to other members of the team.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Operations & Process OwnershipOwn and support end‑to‑end equipment slotting process and Sales input to the SIOP process.Lead the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of sales operations processes, controls, and performance metricsIdentify process gaps, data issues, and operational risks; recommend and implement scalable solutionsAnalytics, Reporting, and InsightsDevelop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analyses that provide actionable insights into sales performance and operational healthDeliver executive‑ready reporting to Sales Leadership to support forecast reviews, revenue governance, and strategic planningTranslate complex data sets into clear, concise insights for both technical and non‑technical stakeholdersSystems & ToolsServe as a power user and subject‑matter expert for sales operations tools and systems, including ERP and business intelligence platformsPartner with IT and business applications teams to define requirements, test enhancements, and resolve system or data issuesEnsure data accuracy and integrity across systems supporting the quote‑to‑cash processCross‑Functional CollaborationWork closely with Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Product, and IT teams to align systems and data to meet business objectivesAct as the primary Sales Operations point of contact for assigned cross‑functional initiativesProactively surface issues impacting order execution, reporting accuracy, or customer experienceLeadership & Knowledge SharingProvide informal guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing to junior analysts and new team membersContribute to the documentation of processes, best practices, and reporting standardsQualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline4+ years of professional experience, preferably in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Operations, or a related analytics roleTechnical SkillsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Bi, and Ai ToolsExperience with enterprise ERP and business intelligence tools (Oracle preferred)Understanding of data warehousing, and multi‑system data flows is a plusCore CompetenciesHighly analytical with strong attention to detail and data accuracyExperience in semiconductor capital equipment preferredAbility to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insightsStrong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to leadershipSelf‑starter capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, global environmentComfortable collaborating across functions and time zones (Asia, Europe, and North America)Why Join Onto Innovation?At Onto Innovation, we believe your work should matter—and so should your well-being.
