Position Overview: Specialty: Pediatrics Location: Near Greensboro, NC Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Coverage Type: Call Only Practice Setting: Inpatient EMR Systems: Athena & Meditech Job ID: j-244202 Responsibilities: 24-Hour Call Coverage: Provide continuous 24-hour call coverage from 10:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Handle all newborn care, including attending all deliveries and performing circumcisions as needed. Provide coverage for c-sections and manage any neonatal resuscitation or stabilization required immediately after birth. Emergency Department Consults: Respond to pediatric consults in the Emergency Department when requested. Assist with the facilitation of transfers to higher levels of care if necessary. Pediatric Unit Admissions: Admit pediatric patients to the inpatient unit as required. Provide ongoing care and rounding for pediatric patients in the unit, ensuring comprehensive treatment and monitoring. Qualifications: Board Certification: Must be Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Pediatrics. Fellowship: Completion of a Pediatrics fellowship is required. Licensing: Must hold an active medical license in Virginia. Certifications Required: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is mandatory. Hospital Privileges: Not required. Temporary Privileges: Available, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days. Practice Details: Inpatient Setting: The practice is set within an inpatient environment, focusing on pediatric care. The department consists of 6 beds, and patient volumes vary depending on the day.
