Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Cincinnati, OH Agency: Jackson HealthPros Pay: $1,556 to $1,756 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/18/2026 About the Position We’re hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Cincinnati, OH. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining ventilatory equipment, performing invasive and non-invasive therapies, monitoring oxygenation and ventilation, assisting with respiratory-related procedures, performing arterial puncture and interpretation, conducting pulmonary function studies, and documenting patient responses and treatments. You will communicate with physicians and participate in shift-to-shift handoffs. Minimum Qualifications: Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program. Current Ohio state respiratory license in good standing. One year experience as an RRT. BLS certification. Experience operating and monitoring mechanical ventilators, including setup and self-test procedures. Experience with suctioning, tracheostomy care, endotracheal tube insertion and removal, and ventilator management. Ability to perform arterial puncture and interpret blood gas results. Experience performing 12-lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition. Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification preferred. Experience in an acute care hospital or intensive care setting preferred. Familiarity with bronchoscopy, chest tube management, and PleurX drainage preferred. Assignment Details Shift pattern: 3x12 day shifts. Impacting Patient Care You will provide intensive respiratory care and patient transport as medically prescribed within the scope of your license and with minimal supervision. You will evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans, perform physician-prescribed respiratory treatments, and assist with procedures per hospital policy. You will maintain accurate respiratory therapy documentation, communicate treatment efficacy to attending and pulmonary physicians, and support equipment maintenance and quality control activities.
