Travel RN - ICU
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 3 years of ICU experience and prior travel nursing experience, working nights in a Cincinnati-area hospital.Job Details• 8-bed ICU within a hospital setting,• Patient population includes cardiovascular, respiratory failure, sepsis/septic shock, neurological conditions, post-surgical, and metabolic/endocrine emergencies,• Adult and geriatric patient population (ages 18 and older),• Proficiency with vasopressors, sedation/analgesia, cardiac, insulin, heparin, sodium bicarbonate, electrolyte replacement, paralytics, and thrombolytic drips required,• Experience with PICC lines, A-lines, dialysis lines, chest tubes, NG tubes, Foley catheters, JP drains, and wound vacs required,• Experience with CRRT and mechanical ventilation required,• Oxygen modalities include nasal cannula, mask, non-rebreather, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator, nebulizer treatments, inline suction, and vent weaning,• Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM,• Every third weekend required,• No on-call responsibilities,• May float to a 24-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit (RN and PCT support available on that unit),• Epic EHR experience preferred,• RN-only staffing on the ICU; house supervisor support available,Job Requirements• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand,• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required,• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience at a similar acuity level required,• Proof of address required (acceptable documents: Driver's License, Voter Registration Card, Federal Income Tax Return with primary state of residence, Military Form DD-2058, or W-2 from U.S. Government),• 1 supervisory reference required,• Full SSN and date of birth (MM/DD) required,• Nursys license verification required,• Copies of certifications required,Additional Information• Pass/fail EKG/dysrhythmia exam required on the first day; two attempts allowed and a study guide will be provided,• Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, CRRT, and management of patients with multi-system organ failure,• May assist with insertion of intra-aortic balloon pumps, chest tubes, Impella devices, and transvenous/temporary pacing,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate,
