Benefits & Compensation Manager

The Benefits & Compensation Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of all benefit and compensation programs for NABRICO Marine Products. This role ensures that total rewards strategies are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives, while supporting employee engagement and retention across a multi-site manufacturing environment.This position plays a critical role during organizational transition, including benefits vendor selection, 401(k) plan establishment, and ensuring continuity and clarity of employee offerings.Key ResponsibilitiesBenefits Strategy & AdministrationLead the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of health, welfare, and retirement benefit programsServe as primary liaison with benefits brokers, consultants, and vendorsOversee open enrollment planning, employee communications, and program educationEnsure seamless transition and implementation of benefits programs in a post-transaction environmentManage compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirementsCompensation Strategy & AdministrationDesign and manage compensation programs for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring internal equity and external competitivenessLead annual merit planning process, including budget modeling, calibration, and leader guidancePartner with leadership on job evaluations, promotions, and market pricingSupport and administer incentive programs (STI, attendance programs, production incentives, etc.)Conduct compensation analysis and provide recommendations using market data and internal trends 401(k) & Retirement ProgramsLead the transition and establishment of the standalone NABRICO 401(k) plan (including plan termination/spin-out considerations if applicable)Partner with vendors (e.g., recordkeepers, advisors) to ensure smooth implementation and administrationOversee company match, employee contributions (pre-tax and Roth), and loan administrationProvide clear communication and education to employees during transition and ongoing plan participation Analytics & ReportingDevelop and maintain compensation and benefits dashboards (turnover, cost analysis, participation rates, etc.)Provide data-driven insights to leadership to support decision-makingMonitor trends and recommend program adjustments to improve retention and engagement Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure all compensation and benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulationsPartner with legal and HR leadership to mitigate risk and ensure proper governanceMaintain documentation, plan documents, and audit readiness Employee Communication & ExperienceDevelop clear, concise communication materials explaining compensation and benefits programsSupport leaders with talking points and FAQs (especially during transitions)Enhance employee understanding of total rewards to drive engagement and retention HR & Business PartnershipPartner with HR Business Partners and Operations Leaders to align total rewards with workforce strategySupport talent acquisition efforts with competitive offers and market insightsParticipate in broader HR initiatives including engagement, retention, and workforce planning Scope of ResponsibilityEnterprise-wide responsibility for compensation and benefits programsMulti-site manufacturing workforce (hourly and salaried)Direct interaction with executive leadership, HR, Finance, and external vendors QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in human resources, Finance, Business, or related field required7+ years of experience in compensation and/or benefits administrationExperience in manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environments strongly preferredExperience with benefits transitions, M&A, or organizational startup highly desirableKnowledge & SkillsStrong knowledge of compensation structures, market pricing, and incentive designDeep understanding of benefits regulations and compliance requirements (ERISA, ACA, etc.)Experience managing 401(k) plans and vendor relationshipsStrong analytical and financial modeling skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex information clearlyHigh attention to detail and strong project management capability Leadership CompetenciesDemonstrates strong business acumen and financial mindsetDrives execution with accuracy and accountabilityBuild trust through transparency and consistencyNavigates complexity and leads through changeInfluences stakeholders across all levels of the organization Working ConditionsPrimarily office-based with periodic travel to operating locationsMay require additional hours during key cycles (merit planning, open enrollment, transition milestones)Why Join NABRICO Marine ProductsThis role offers a unique opportunity to build and shape total rewards programs from the ground up during a pivotal time for the organization.
