General Manager - Restaurant

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a deep understanding of food service operations, including casual dining, fine dining, catering, and bar management. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for culinary excellence and operational efficiency to drive the restaurant’s success. Duties Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, kitchen management, and customer service. Oversee staff training, development, and supervision to maintain high standards of hospitality and food safety. Manage inventory control, food production, and cost control measures to optimize profitability. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards. Supervise shift management, scheduling, and staff performance evaluations. Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales reporting. Coordinate with culinary teams to maintain quality standards in food preparation and presentation. Develop and implement policies for efficient restaurant operations while fostering a positive work environment. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure an exceptional dining experience. Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and operational reporting to support business growth. Qualifications Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus. Extensive knowledge of food industry operations including food safety, food handling, inventory control, and catering services. Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, supervising staff performance, interviewing candidates, and developing talent. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required. Culinary experience or background in food preparation is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse clientele effectively. Demonstrated ability to manage shift schedules, budgeting processes, and food production workflows. Hospitality management background with experience in managing bar services or coffee/café environments is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
