AI Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using modern software engineering best practices.• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers in an Agile/SAFe environment.• Translate requirements into working software solutions in collaboration with systems engineering and program teams.• Apply AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, refactoring, debugging, and test creation.• Integrate services with databases, messaging systems, and external APIs.• Work closely with QA, DevOps, and platform teams to ensure reliable delivery.What You'll Need• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).• 2+ years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree.• Hands-on experience building and supporting microservices-based systems.• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++, or similar on a Linux-based system).• Experience or exposure to AI/ML-enabled systems, automation, or intelligent platforms.• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust investigation.• U.S. citizenship required.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary ($69,550 - $125,725) plus bonus potential.• Opportunity to work on mission-critical software that supports national air traffic operations.• A hybrid work model offering flexibility with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.• A role where AI is used as a force multiplier to accelerate development and improve system reliability.Apply via Haystack today!
