Application Engineer, Electric Motors - North America

Our motors are lightweight, precise, and powerful , designed to push the boundaries of what’s possible in precision motion systems.Alva Industries is scaling its commercial operations in North America and is seeking an Application Engineer to play a key role alongside our Sales Manager in driving regional growth and customer success . Alva I based in Trondheim, Norway, so this is a 100% remote position and we are looking for you that is based inNorth America .As our new Application Engineer , you'll be in a key technical customer-facing role : helping our customers in North America navigate our advanced product portfolio and integrate our motors into their next-generation systems. You'll also play a strategic role in shaping our future products , acting as the bridge between market needs and product development.ResponsibilitiesSupport the sales team in technical discussions during customer meetingsHelp customers navigate our electric motor portfolio to find the optimal solutionPerform performance calculations and sizing to ensure competitive, high-performing proposalsProvide hands-on support during customer evaluation, testing, and system integrationMaintain a deep understanding of Alva’s motor technology, capabilities, and differentiatorsServe as a key link between customers and the engineering team to ensure successful outcomesPrepare technical quotes and proposals in collaboration with engineering and salesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or similarExperience in application engineering or product management within motion systems (e.g. electric motors, encoders, gearboxes, or servo drives)Fluent in written and spoken EnglishPreferred Qualifications & ExperienceExperience integrating and testing motion control systemsStrong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPointFamiliarity with PLM and CRM systemsBasic programming skills (e.g. Python, C, or graphical environments like LabVIEW)Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events (up to 50%)Analytical and detail-orientedStrong planning and execution skillsConfident communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersCustomer-focused mindset: accurate, responsive, and committed to solving problems#J-18808-Ljbffr
