Requires the protection of sensitive and confidential information. Independent judgment is required.Essential DutiesAssists students with academic subjects - may assist students one on one, small group or whole class depending on individual qualifications; documents progressAssists teachers with classroom duties, including correcting work, recording grades, planning work, and administering tests.Assists with classroom management and behavior modificationAssists with field trips, community-based instruction, and other activitiesMay assist with toileting students, changing diapers and general hygiene; may be required to handle seizures and other physical complications; handles various complicated positioning equipment; evaluates pain and discomfort levels; evaluates responses to stimuli.Assists students with mobility needs such as, lifting and positioning students, lifting in and out of wheelchairs; and loading and unloading the bus and operates adaptive equipmentMay assist with physical therapeutic training, including range of motion skills, fine motor skills, visual perception and social skills.Collects data on student performance and progress Assists with creation, organization, and distribution of instructional materials Reports student concerns directly and promptly to the teacher and assists with student resolutionAssist with implementation of behavior management plans Assists students on and off the school bus; supervises students at lunch, recess and in the absence of teachersAssists with breakfast, lunch and snack, including clean-upMay be required to assist with student's medical and personal hygiene needsPerforms other duties as assignedRegular attendance is requiredAdditional Information:This position is for 2026-27This position is temporary working no more than 29 hours per week.
