This role operates within a collaborative team environment under the guidance of the Shop Manager. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to follow detailed instructions are essential to success. Responsibilities/pulliSupport assembly welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance of environmental equipment./liliAssist with delivery of inventoried, inspected, tested, and organized materials and equipment to meet project schedules./liliPerform mechanical repairs and maintenance on shop and field equipment./liliFollow work orders and repair schedules to ensure equipment is maintained to standard./liliConduct and support assembly welding and mechanical assembly of various components./liliSupport repair and maintenance of pumps, filtration systems, and remediation equipment using hand tools and shop equipment./liliContribute to shop organization, standardization, and workflow efficiency./liliEnsure accurate inventory, proper inspection, and maintenance of tools and equipment./liliAssist with warehouse inventory control and tracking systems./liliFollow established systems for tracking shop tools, equipment, assets, and materials./liliPerform stockroom duties, including counting and categorizing parts./liliComplete general housekeeping tasks, such as trash removal, sweeping, and snow removal./liliPerform other duties as assigned by the Shop Manager./li/ulpQualifications/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent required./liliGraduation from a two-year technical trade program preferred./liliMinimum 23 years of welding experience preferred, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding./liliMinimum 2 years of experience working independently in a shop environment performing welding, fabrication, and mechanical repair./liliAbility to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds./liliGeneral computer skills required./liliFamiliarity with a wide range of mechanical skills preferred, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and welding./li/ulpSkills/pulliSafety Communication Safety-driven mindset with strong communication skills/liliWelding Fabrication 23 years of professional welding experience, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding for fabrication, assembly, and repair of metal components and environmental equipment./liliAssembly Fitting Proficient in mechanical assembly, welding assembly, and fitting components according to drawings, work orders, and supervisor direction./liliMechanical Repair Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing pumps, filtration systems, and remediation equipment using a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment./liliEquipment Maintenance Experienced in performing routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with shop standards./liliGeneral Trades Knowledge Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general mechanical systems used in equipment repair and fabrication./liliShop Operations Strong background in inventory control, tool tracking, material organization, and maintaining efficient workflow in a high-activity shop environment./liliand the ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a team environment./liliPhysical Capability Able to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds as part of daily shop and warehouse duties./liliComputer Skills Competent with basic computer systems for work orders, inventory tracking, documentation, and shop communication./li/ulp$25.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience/ppWhy Work with TerraTherm: TerraTherm, a subsidiary of Cascade Environmental, is a leading provider of thermal remediation technologies, specializing in the cleanup of hazardous substances in soil, rock, and groundwater.
