Over the past 34 years, Starwood Capital has invested in excess of $270 billion of assets, including properties within every major real estate asset class.Program DescriptionStarwood Capital’s Internship Program is 9-weeks long and we select a group of highly motivated summer interns with the goal of identifying talent for our Full-time Analyst Program. Our size and structure provides individuals with a high level of responsibility and the unique opportunity to work directly with senior management, joint venture partners, investment bankers, brokers and commercial lenders in all real estate classes. Summer Interns will participate in a variety of specialized trainings that will refine their skills and assist them in transitioning into the professional working environment of Starwood and the investment industry as a whole. A mentorship driven program allows our Summer Interns to create lasting relationships that will support the continued growth of a successful career.Business DescriptionThe Starwood Capital Investor Relations and Global Fundraising team is responsible for managing and enhancing investor relationships around the world on behalf of the firm’s private investment funds and co-investments. The individual will be exposed to multiple aspects of Starwood Capital Group’s investor relations process, with a focus on personalized reporting for current investors and the preparation of custom spreadsheets for investors performing due diligence. Through this experience, the individual will work with multiple teams at Starwood Capital and develop expertise related to the firm’s business lines, investment strategies, funds and investments.ResponsibilitiesPerform research and draft responses for new and existing investor requestsAssist the global capital raising team in their fundraising efforts by identifying and researching institutional prospectsComplete custom quarterly reports for specific investorsGather information as necessary to keep presentations, track record, website and brochures up-to-dateInteract and communicate with all levels and departments of the firm (Asset Management, Acquisitions, Capital Markets, Accounting, Legal, Treasury, Design, )Assist with ad-hoc projects and analyses as neededRequirementsTo be considered for the 2027 Summer Internship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student Anticipated graduation date: Fall 2027 – Spring 2028Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointExceptional attention to detailStrong writing, communication and analytical skillsHighly organized with proven ability to multi-taskComposed, poised and discrete in nature with a high level of integrityAbility to develop relationships throughout the organization
