We are always in pursuit of hardworking people to join our quest and bring our core values to life.As a Running Coach, you’ll help design training plans, running routes and workouts for varying race distances of 5K to Marathon throughout the year. You will be responsible for motivating, encouraging, and providing a safe atmosphere for all participants. The Running Coach is comfortable speaking in front of large groups of people, is authentically welcoming and outgoing, encouraging, and promotes positive experiences for all participants. If hired for this role, you will help secure running venues and provide weekly communication to program participants. Working collaboratively with Fleet Feet Nashville's Marketing and Store Teams, you’ll help connect program participants with Fleet Feet products and services that enhance their experience and help them achieve their goals. As a Running Coach at Fleet Feet, you’ll be joining a team that ignites and supports running and fitness through social experiences. We pride ourselves on putting people first and know that what we do each day does not happen anywhere else, for staff, customers, or our training program participants.ResponsibilitiesAttends and provides support at training workouts Reports to Training and Outreach Manager and assists with all programs Maintains program requirements (pace, distance) Builds training plans Assists with designing and verifying running routes Supports all Fleet Feet Nashville initiatives, activities, and functions Responds to athlete questions and composes weekly training newsletter content Does the right thing QualificationsCoaching or personal training experience with private clients or groupsRRCA, ISSA, USATF, or similar certification preferredCurrent standard first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillation (AED) certificationsExperience creating training plans for various distances (5K-Marathon)Available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidaysOutgoing, positive, encouraging and supportiveCollaborative, accountable, and adaptableEnthusiastic about helping athletes achieve their goalsWilling to go above and beyond when neededAble to communicate professionally with participants and coworkersPerksHigh energy, fun, motivational atmosphere Training and advancement opportunities within the Fleet Feet brand Up to $500 in annual race reimbursements Generous employee discount program Annual footwear allotment Community involvement and community service activities Free training programs Passionate team membersCompensation: $17-$19 per hourAdditional Requirements: Hours of work may vary based on company requirements. Position requires moving around for periods of 2-4 hours without a rest break. Occasional moderate to heavy (30+lb) lifting and carrying, bending, and reaching overhead may be required.
