Related experience and or training are desirable.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.Responsibilities for this PositionBuild and wire production assemblies, R&R hardware and assist in the development of future production assemblies. Processes involved include solder and wire, fiber optics, and similar assembly efforts to achieve program and business objectives in a timely and quality manner.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include the following, but are not limited to)Computer skills: Ability to operate various computer programs related to their position for time recording, access to shop planning and business instructionsRead, interpret and work to; drawings, schematics, wiring lists and diagrams, work instructions, sketches, travelers, planning and verbal directionsPerform related duties as required and have the ability to perform all duties of R-16 Job ClassificationSet up and maintain workstation and related materials, includes set up of solder and cleaning stations, control of age controlled items and hazardous materials and consumablesPerform material identification and paint touch upMay give work direction/training to other employees as assignedMay perform verification of other employee's workMust be able to obtain other certificates, licenses and registrations required for their positions as defined in the qualifications belowMaintain the work area and perform duties in a safe mannerIdentifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovationMathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, percent and interpret graphs. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
