This role requires strong critical thinking, advanced clinical skills, and the ability to work across multiple recovery areas.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and assess patients during post-anesthesia recoveryManage airway, hemodynamics, pain, and sedation levelsAdminister medications, IV therapies, and conscious sedationRecognize and respond to post-operative complicationsPerform IV starts and advanced monitoring including pulmonary artery lines and ventilated patientsProvide patient education and discharge instructionsMaintain accurate and timely EMR documentationCollaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teamsFloat across PACU/pre-op areas as requiredRequirementsActive California RN License (must be active at submission)Minimum 2 years of PACU experienceCertifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALSExperience with conscious sedation, IV starts, tele monitoring, and ventsStrong ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentFirst-time travelers welcomeUnit HighlightsHigh-volume unit with 120–140 cases per dayOver 100+ Pre-op/PACU baysExposure to a wide variety of cases including:General, Trauma, Thoracic, and CardiacNeuro, Spine, and VascularBariatric, Colorectal, and UrologyOrthopedics, Plastics, and Hand/Foot proceduresOrgan transplants (Liver/Kidney), IR, Endoscopy, and moreAdditional InformationWeekend Requirement: As neededFloating: Yes, across all recovery areasOn-Call: Not requiredScheduling: No special scheduling requests accommodated ?
