Finance Controller (FP&A) – Investment Firm 📍 Santa Monica, CA (3–4 days onsite)A well-established investment firm in Santa Monica is seeking a hands-on Finance Controller to lead accounting and financial planning for the organization. This role will partner closely with leadership and take ownership of the firm’s financial reporting, forecasting, and overall finance operations.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning the numbers, improving processes, and helping bring structure and visibility to a growing organization. ResponsibilitiesOwn firmwide financial planning, forecasting, and budgetingLead month-end close, financial reporting, and management reportingOversee accounting operations including AR/AP, payroll, and general ledgerImprove finance systems, reporting workflows, and automationCoordinate firm and GP tax processes with external advisors Partner with leadership on financial planning and operational strategyBackgroundIdeally a minimum of 6+ years of accounting and tax experienceExperience within financial services, investment management, audit, or professional services requiredPrivate equity or venture capital experience preferredCPA preferredStrong Excel skills and comfort working in financial systems (QuickBooks Online experience a plus)Location: Santa Monica with 3–4 days onsite each week.
