CADD Operator

Work closely with engineers to perform telecom design work in addition to drafting and project related tasks on assigned projects. Transform designs into CADD produced drawings using appropriate software.Set up and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.Work from sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays and isometric drawings including digital terrain models and surfaces.Calculate quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates.Perform high level design computations, earthwork calculations and prepare complete construction plans.Determine and calculate stormwater drainage areas and steep slope areas.Prepare concept layout plans.Perform grading, utility, stormwater and soil erosion/sediment control design.Conform to the company's standard CADD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets.Prepare project exhibits.Address assignments of increased difficulty as proficiency is increased.Skills & Requirements• High School Diploma/Equivalent; Associates Degree or a Certificate from a technical school, preferably in AutoCAD.• 0-6 months of related experience.
