Full Stack Developer

Overview In this role, you design, build, and maintain web applications and backend services for the CBO tech portfolio. You will work across Python/FastAPI backend and ReactJS frontend to deliver secure, scalable features. You operate in a trunk-based workflow, ensuring small, tested changes and robust documentation. You will collaborate with government engineers and product teams to meet accessibility, performance, and security standards while driving reliable deployments on AWS. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and deploy features for ReactJS frontend and Python/FastAPI backendBuild and maintain RESTful APIs with validation, error handling, versioning, and OpenAPI/Swagger docsDevelop responsive, accessible interfaces per UX standards and Section 508 requirementsManage PostgreSQL data models, queries, migrations, and stored procedures with a focus on performanceOperate in trunk-based development with small, frequent commits and feature flagsParticipate in code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives with CBO engineers and stakeholdersPackage applications with Docker and deploy containerized workloads to AWS (ECS, EKS, or equivalent)Investigate and resolve defects, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities across the stackWrite and maintain automated tests (pytest, Jest, React Testing Library) and keep API/docs and architecture records up to dateMaintain accurate technical documentation including API docs, data-model diagrams, and architecture decision records Key requirements5+ years of professional full-stack development experienceProficiency with Python, FastAPI, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and DockerExperience deploying and troubleshooting applications on AWSExperience with CI/CD pipelines and trunk-based developmentBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent experienceCollaborative and agile team playerSecure coding awarenessDetail-oriented with strong problem-solvingPythonFastAPIReactJS
