Project Specialist 3Location: Pomona, CA 91768 (Hybrid)Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (3days onsite per week)Contract Duration: 12 + possible extension to 18 monthsPay Rate: $40.41/hr on W2OverviewThis role focuses on scheduling and managing 100-150 Substation Programs projects (each under $25M) with moderate complexity. You'll document delays for time impact analysis, develop and integrate schedules, and drive project execution through expert use of project controls. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop master integrated schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and earned value calculations. Incorporate existing schedules into projects and perform variance analysis, forecasting, and performance monitoring. Identify trends, assess performance against targets, and maintain project plans. Collaborate across teams, contractors, and groups to establish objectives, timelines, risk analysis, milestones, and deliverables. Directly support project execution by spotting issues, proposing solutions, and driving resolutions (escalate to PM as needed). Gather data from multiple stakeholders; strong communication skills required. Travel to job sites as needed (typically <1x/month).Required Skills & Qualifications 7+ years in scheduling and capital projects/construction. Proficient in Primavera P6; experienced with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Visio) and SAP. Bachelor's degree in engineering, data science, construction management, business, finance, project managementor equivalent combination of education/training/experience.Desired Skills & Experience Utility industry experience (substation utility a plus).
