Job SummaryThe Case Analysis Attorney is responsible for evaluating immigration matters, identifying legal strategies, and providing detailed case assessments to support clients and legal teams. This role focuses on reviewing complex immigration cases, ensuring compliance with U.S. immigration laws, and recommending appropriate legal pathways for clients.Salary Range$130k-$170k a yearKey Responsibilities• Conduct thorough legal analysis of immigration cases, including family-based, humanitarian, and removal defense matters.• Review client documentation to determine eligibility for immigration benefits (e.g., visas, green cards, asylum, waivers).• Develop and recommend case strategies tailored to client goals and legal circumstances.• Identify potential risks, issues, or gaps and propose solutions or alternative legal options• Provide written case summaries, legal memos, and recommendations to attorneys and legal staff.• Ensure all case evaluations comply with USCIS, EOIR, and Department of State regulations• Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and senior attorneys to optimize case outcomes• Stay current with changes in U.S. immigration law, policies, and procedures• Support intake teams by performing initial case screenings and consultations (if applicable).• Assist in preparing cases for filing by ensuring the legal strategy aligns with evidentiary requirementsQualifications• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state (required).• 7 years of experience in U.S. immigration law (law firm or nonprofit preferred).3 years of experience in Criminal Law • Strong knowledge of immigration processes, including USCIS filings, consular processing, and removal proceedingsSkills & Competencies• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for complex case evaluation.• Excellent legal research and writing abilities• Detail-oriented with the ability to review high volumes of case materials• Ability to interpret and apply changing immigration laws and policies• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentTypical Practice Areas Covered• Family-based immigration (I-130, AOS, consular processing)• Employment-based immigration (H-1B, PERM, EB categories)• Humanitarian relief (Asylum, TPS, VAWA, U visas, T visas)• Waivers (I-601, I-601A)• Removal defense and immigration court mattersCriminal Matters and Immigration Consequences
