Family PlanningAbout the RoleThe Company is seeking a Senior Director of Campaigns and Advocacy to lead its strategic efforts in empowering communities and driving systemic change. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record in grassroots organizing, campaign execution, and policy advocacy, particularly in the areas of climate justice, civic engagement, economic justice, and civil and human rights. This role is pivotal in the organization's mission to use the power of cultural expression to impact issues of racial, climate, and economic justice. The Senior Director will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive campaigns and advocacy strategies, managing a multi-issue team, and ensuring the integration of cultural organizing and narrative into all approaches. They will also oversee community engagement, power building, and mobilization, as well as lead the division in planning, budgeting, and compliance.The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years' of experience in the field, with a strong background in leadership, management, and team building. They should be adept at thinking systemically across multiple issue areas, connecting them to identify root causes, and designing integrated strategies. Expertise in community mobilization, coalition building, and leadership development is essential, as is a deep commitment to the values and mission of the organization. The role requires exceptional communication skills, high cultural competence, and the ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. The Senior Director will also be expected to collaborate closely with the Storytelling and Communications Division and the Advancement Division to maximize the impact of the organization's work.Hiring Manager Title
