Position Function Ensure daily customer shipment paperwork is accurately monitored and processed for receipts and shipments. Essential Job Duties Check drivers in and out for appointments. Create accurate Bill of Ladings for all outbound shipments. Scan and file BOLs and receipts. Route planning and shipment tracking. Organize the schedule for order pick up and deliveries with different carriers and companies (over the phone and via email). Manually manifest parcel shipments as needed. Ensure the accurate and timely submission of ASN's to customer systems in compliance with customer receipt specifications. Properly utilize customer routing systems and ensure strict compliance with their routing guidelines to prevent shipment chargeback penalties. Monitor and schedule shipping appointments. Consolidate freight orders into truckloads for specific destinations. Understand customer routing requirements; route all "Collect Freight" customer orders in a timely manner ensuring compliance with the customer routing guide, route "Prepaid Freight" shipments ensuring maximum efficiency standards. Willingness to learn about inventory and inventory management, assist with inventory controls including verification and counting. Assist where needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 1 year experience in logistics, warehouse or distribution environment Minimum 1 year experience with computer systems used in logistics, warehouse or distribution environments Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to details and good time management Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions Ability to multitask Basic math skills and basic computer skills Use of a telephone with proper phone etiquette Forklift and Pallet jack experience or interest with ability to obtain is preferred Behavioral Attributes A commitment to self-improvement The ability to embrace and continually adapt to change A positive attitude even when unexpected challenges arise A willingness to take responsibility and be accountable for achieving personal and team results ADA Requirements Frequently required to sit; talk or hear and use hands to handle or touch objects or controls Regularly required to stand and walk On occasion, may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. Lift and lower up to 50 pounds, team lift up to 100 pounds. Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
