Collection Specialist (Merchant Cash Advance)

We are a fast-growing Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) company seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable speaking with clients, resolving account issues, and managing payment arrangements in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in maintaining client relationships while ensuring timely collections and account accuracy. Key Responsibilities Communicate with merchants via phone and email to collect outstanding balances and resolve account issues Provide professional and empathetic customer service while negotiating payment plans and settlements Work with internal teams and collectors to manage delinquent accounts and ensure proper follow-up Monitor daily merchant payments, including ACH activity, and address failed or missed payments Identify account discrepancies and coordinate resolutions in a timely manner Track payment arrangements, settlements, and account updates accurately in internal systems Maintain detailed records of all client interactions and collection efforts Escalate complex or high-risk accounts to management as needed Qualifications 13 years of experience in collections, customer service, or account management (MCA, fintech, or lending experience a plus) Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally and effectively Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment NEEDS TO BE PROFICIENT in Google Sheets/Excel.
