The Controller is responsible for leading all accounting and financial functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and internal controls. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data while providing strategic insights to leadership. In a manufacturing environment, the Controller also plays a key role in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial analysis tied to production performance.Reports To: Vice PresidentKey Responsibilities:Lead all core accounting operations: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, and Fixed AssetsPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsMaintain and enhance financial reporting processes and systemsCoordinate annual audits and partner with external auditors and tax advisorsOwn the annual budgeting processMonitor performance against budgets and forecastsDevelop and manage cash flow forecasts and working capital strategiesAnalyze manufacturing costs, labor utilization, and material variancesMaintain standard costing and review cost variance trendsEstablish and maintain strong internal controlsOversee tax filings, reporting requirements, and audit processesLead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team membersProvide financial guidance and recommendations to leadershipSupport strategic planning, capital investments, and growth initiativesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredCPA preferred5+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experienceManufacturing and cost accounting experience strongly preferredExperience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
