Quality Engineer

About the Job We are an employee-owned company looking for a junior member of our engineering team. We are a high end electroplating shop specializing in precious metals with a customer base that include special process value added manufacturing for our customer supplied parts. Our sales into the medical device supply chain are expanding and additional engineering needs to be developed in the coming year. Since we are a small company, succesful applicants will be trained into multiple roles based on their unique strengths. Responsibilities Learn our manufacturing systems and transition to an engineering lead for one or more of our customers where you will be responsible for tooling design and optimization corrective and preventative actions to improve our processes and some hands on product based work in the development of selective electrochemical deposition. This will entail a significant amount of technical writing and a small amount of basic mechanical design. Experience This is a junior/senior level position requiring a STEM degree (AA minimum requirement). Candidates with a technical based BA will be considered. Minimum 2 years experience preferred. Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 and/or NADCAP is preferred. Experience with technical writing is required. Experience with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Visio) required. You should have good communication skills as you will be interfacing with our manufacturing technicians. Spanish Fluency is preferred but not a requirement.
