Mechanical General Superintendent - Job DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Mechanical General Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all phases of mechanical and plumbing construction projects-from initial planning through final completion. This role ensures field operations run efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards. The General Superintendent provides leadership to Foremen and project teams, supports project planning and execution, and drives productivity, quality, and prefabrication initiatives across all assigned projects. Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject Oversight & ExecutionOversee all phases of assigned projects from planning to completion.Continuously walk projects to review labor performance, planning, QA/QC, safety, and productivity.Attend all job turnover meetings and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.Provide schedule order/delivery dates for all materials, equipment, and fixtures in coordination with the Project Manager (PM).Review bulk material buyouts and provide take-offs to the PM.Leadership & Team ManagementSupervise Foremen, including assigning teams to specific jobs as needed.Train and develop General Foremen and Foremen to strengthen field leadership.Communicate and enforce company procedures, standards, and expectations.Planning & CoordinationHelp manage CAD, fabrication, and field processes to ensure alignment and efficiency.Prepare project work schedules and manpower curves in collaboration with the PM.Push prefabrication efforts in partnership with fabrication shop managers.Technical SupportProvide technical advice and problem-solving support on projects.Ensure all work is executed in accordance with scope, estimate, and project requirements. Skills and QualificationsStrong understanding of project scope and estimated labor/material requirements.Ability to track and understand labor and material performance against budget (with PM).Knowledge of crew rates and labor planning.Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously. Education and Experience15 years of mechanical and plumbing trade experience preferred.Experience managing large projects or multiple concurrent projects.Trade education and/or trade license.Knowledge across HVAC, piping, and plumbing trades.OSHA certification required.QA/QC experience preferred.Scheduling and pull-planning experience. Benefits OfferedMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance (employer pays 86% of benefit cost).Employee Assistance Program (EAP).401(k) with company match and profit share (up to 7.5% total).Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and voluntary life insurance options.Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays.Annual company-sponsored family events.All employees are subject to pre-employment drug screening. BenefitsCompetitive Pay: Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife Insurance401(k)Paid Time OffPaid HolidaysCar Allowance Email Your Resume In Word ToKeith.Ellis@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
