Position Details: Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Practice Type: Hospital (Monday-Sunday, all day) Callback Percentage: Weekday: 5% Weekend: 5% ER: 5% ICU: 5% Caseload Percentage: Adult: 98% Trauma: 2% Hospital: 100% Average Hospital Patients per Day: 2 Admissions: 2 per week ICU: 1 patient per day Surgeries: 2 per week Supervision Required: Yes, supervising a PA on staff Other Thoracic Surgeons Present: No Worksite Resources: Lab and X-ray: Onsite EMR System: Epic for hospital documentation Required Procedures: General Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery: Open and endoscopic Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery: On pump Valvular Replacement Aneurysm Repair: Cardiac, aorto-thoracic Lung Resection: Including VATs Chest Wall or Pleural Procedures Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume/Blood Pressure Issues Insertion of Central Line, Arterial Line, PA Catheter, IABP Preferred Procedures: Valvular Repair Esophagus and Diaphragm Surgeries Ventilation Management Bronchoscopy Credentialing & Certification: Board Certification: Cardiovascular & Thoracic (Required) State License: Must hold or be eligible for a Wyoming State License Additional Requirements: Familiarity with Epic EMR system Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload This locum tenens role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment while providing vital services to patients in need.
