This role will be responsible for end-to-end IT operations, including device lifecycle management, employee onboarding and offboarding, troubleshooting, office IT infrastructure, and implementing security policies and protocols. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building scalable IT systems from the ground up.Work Location: Onsite (Hayward, CA)Key ResponsibilitiesIT Operations & SupportServe as the primary IT support resource for all U.S.-based employeesTroubleshoot hardware, software, network, and access-related issues for both onsite and remote usersManage helpdesk requests and ensure timely resolution with a service-oriented, SLA-driven approachMaintain IT documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal knowledge base resourcesDevice & Asset ManagementManage the full lifecycle of employee devices, including laptops, peripherals, and mobile devicesSupport onboarding and offboarding activities, including provisioning, imaging, account setup, access configuration, and asset recoveryTrack, maintain, and audit inventory of all IT hardware and assetsStandardize device configurations, deployment processes, and management policiesOffice IT & InfrastructureSupport office networking, WiFi, printers, audiovisual equipment, and conference room technologyCoordinate with vendors and service providers for internet, hardware procurement, and office IT requirementsEnsure reliability, availability, and performance of office technology systemsIdentity & Access ManagementManage user accounts and permissions across core business platforms, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and SaaS applicationsEnforce least-privilege access controls and role-based permissionsMaintain Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) configurations and policiesSecurity & ComplianceImplement and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and best practicesManage endpoint security solutions, including EDR, antivirus, and patch management toolsMonitor systems for suspicious activity and assist with incident response effortsSupport compliance initiatives, including SOC 2 readiness and internal security controlsConduct employee security awareness training and promote security best practices across the organizationQualifications2–5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related roleStrong hands-on experience supporting both Mac and Windows environmentsExperience administering Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace environmentsWorking knowledge of networking concepts, including WiFi, VPNs, and firewallsExperience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Jamf, Intune, Kandji, or similar toolsFamiliarity with security technologies, including EDR solutions, MFA, and access management controlsStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively support non-technical usersPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting IT operations in a growing company or startup environmentExposure to cloud-based SaaS ecosystems and modern workplace technologiesFamiliarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar standardsExperience developing IT documentation, policies, and operational procedures
