Procurement Engineer - E2
Overview
In this role you will support LM Syracuse onsite as a Supplier Quality Assurance representative within an integrated team. You will collaborate with operations, engineering, sourcing, and suppliers to uphold quality standards for LM procurements and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions. You will evaluate data, manufacturing constraints, and parts availability to ensure product compliance and manufacturability. Your work helps reduce cost and improve reliability across aerospace production while shaping quality processes in a cross-functional setting with a focus on continuous improvement.

ResponsibilitiesProvide on-site quality support with Operations, Sourcing, Design Engineering and suppliers.Analyze production defect data to identify root causes and inform corrective actions.Evaluate technical data, manufacturing constraints, and parts availability for compliance.Drive trade-offs and standardization to improve manufacturability and reliability.Recommend design or process changes and implement mistake-proofing measures.Lead cross-functional teams with internal staff and suppliers to address producibility, quality, cost, testing, reliability, and affordability.
Key requirementsBachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance or ProcurementProficient in reading Engineering Drawings, Schematics, and Performance specificationsKnowledgeable in First Article Inspection (FAI)Knowledgeable in defect data analysis including Root Cause Analysis and effectiveness of Corrective ActionsKnowledgeable in AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management Systems surveillanceExcellent written and oral communicationFacilitation of team problem solvingInfluence cost-effective solutionsSAPP2PEPDM
