Development Director (Part Time)

Position SummaryStrides in Recovery seeks a highly entrepreneurial and results-driven part time Development Director. This role is ideal for a candidate with a proven track record of creating Development Departments at small nonprofits and working collaboratively to deliver measurable revenue growth.The Development Director will design and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, establish systems and processes, and grow diverse revenue streams including individual giving, corporate partnerships, grants, and events. Key Responsibilities Department Building & StrategyBuild and formalize the development function by enhancing existing software solutions and organizational processes and implementing new solutions as neededCreate and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals Establish KPIs and reporting systems to track performance  Fundraising & Revenue GrowthGrow individual giving programs, including major gifts and recurring donors Identify, cultivate, and secure corporate sponsorships and partnerships Oversee grant strategy, including prospecting, writing/storytelling, and reporting Increase revenue from existing programs (i.e., Los Angeles Marathon Charity Partner Team, annual 5K) Develop additional fundraising events that align with the mission and values, as needed Relationship ManagementBroaden and manage our portfolio of major donors and prospects Partner with the Executive Director and Board to develop and deepen donor and sponsor relationships Promote and support Board engagement in fundraising activities QualificationsRequired Demonstrated success building or significantly scaling a development function at a small nonprofit Experience securing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and grants Experience collaborating with Boards to support their fundraising effortsExisting relationships within the Los Angeles philanthropic communityStrong relationship-building and communication skills Highly self-directed, entrepreneurial, and comfortable building from scratchMust be available to attend in person meetings with prospective donors and to attend fundraising eventsPreferredExperience with donor management systems (e.g., Little Green Light) Salary ·        Commensurate with experienceAbout Strides in RecoveryStrides in Recovery is a nonprofit organization that helps newly sober individuals grow physically, emotionally, and mentally stronger so they can do their best at the hard work of recovery.
