We are looking for an energetic, community-oriented, and experienced individual to work as a Cashier in our Ambler location. This position is low-time, with an anticipated 8-19 hours per week. Open availability is preferred. If you have experience working in a team setting and a passion for great customer service, then we want to hear from you!Responsibilities IncludeWelcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations.Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt to every customer.Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints.Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport.Following all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or the purchase of specific items, such as alcohol or cigarettes.Maintaining a clean workspace.RequirementsAt least 1 year of customer service experienceAbility to operate a cash registerAbility to stand for entire shift (5-8 hours)Good math skillsAbility to work well in a team settingAttention to detail and good organizational skillsAbility to lift to 50lbsAbility to multitask and remain calm under pressureAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to be flexible and adapt quickly to changing conditionsAbility to work independently and exercise independent judgment when necessaryCommitment to the mission and goals of Weavers Way Co-operative AssociationBe or become upon hiring a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op
