SQL Database Developer

Overview In this role you design and manage Azure SQL / SQL Server databases for cloud-native applications, enabling scalable, secure data services. You work closely with developers to support backend features and implement CI/CD powered deployments. You optimize performance, ensure reliability, and uphold data integrity across environments. This position combines hands-on database engineering with automation to drive enterprise-grade solutions at scale. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain Azure SQL / SQL Server databases for enterprise-grade appsDevelop and optimize T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, and indexesEnsure performance, scalability, availability, and data integrityCollaborate with application developers to support backend and full-stack featuresImplement and manage deployments using PowerShell and automated release pipelinesSupport CI/CD workflows with Azure DevOps and GitHubPerform schema versioning, migrations, and release coordination across environmentsTroubleshoot production issues and perform performance tuning and root cause analysisEnforce database security, access controls, and best practices Key requirementsSenior Database Developer or equivalentAdvanced expertise in SQL Server / Azure SQLStrong T-SQL development skills (stored procedures, indexing, query optimization)Experience with Azure hosted databases and cloud architecturesHands-on PowerShell for database deployment and automationExperience with Azure DevOps pipelines and GitHub for version controlSolid understanding of database design principles and data modelingExperience supporting applications built on .NET / C# (backend integration)Collaborative mindsetOwnership and accountabilityProblem-solving under pressureAzure SQL / SQL ServerT-SQL developmentPowerShell for automation
