Transaction Leadership & Deal ExecutionLead end-to-end deal management, serving as the single point of contact for all internal and external resources involved in transaction processesPartner with internal and external legal counsel to develop, negotiate, and execute letters of intent and definitive agreements; review and contribute to all transaction legal documentsEnsure effective management of post-closing deal terms and timely handoff to integration teamsFinancial Analysis & ValuationReview and critically evaluate pro formas and business case documents prepared by the FP&A team, applying strong financial acumen and modeling skillsManage valuation processes with external consultants to confirm fair market value of transactions, including quality of earnings adjustments, pro forma/normalization calculations, and working capital analysisAssemble, review, and finalize internal project summaries and executive presentations for leadership review and approval Cross-Functional Leadership & IntegrationCoordinate and lead cross-functional teams across finance, legal, clinical operations, HR, IT, compliance, and other areas through due diligence, transaction review, and integration planningPartner with clinical, operational, and financial leaders to strengthen and grow key service lines and business portfolios Strategic Planning & Market IntelligenceMonitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions and support Emory Healthcare's growth missionAdditional Duties as AssignedTravel: Travel between Emory operating units and affiliated sitesWork Type: Hybrid employee - may split time between working remotely and working in the officeMinimum Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required5+ years of professional experience in transaction-related business or hospital M&A requiredAt least five years of increasing levels of responsibility with an emphasis on complex transactions and investmentsAbility to execute and implement complex acquisitions, investments and alternative complex arrangements in new or expanding strategic areas and marketsExperience in strategic planning, investment analysis and managementExperience indicating an ability to present complex matters to executive leadership to drive decision making, followed by the translation of high-level guidance into executable plansKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesDemonstrated ability to execute complex acquisitions, investments, and alternative arrangements in new or expanding strategic marketsExperience in strategic planning, investment analysis, financial modeling, and deal managementProven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organizationStrong executive presence with the ability to present complex matters to senior leadership and translate high-level guidance into executable plansExcellent communication, negotiation, project management, and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required10+ years of professional experience in transaction-related business or hospital M&A preferred with experience in a large, complex health system or academic medical center environmentKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Thorough knowledge of the healthcare industry, including familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Certificate of Need (CON), Stark Law, and anti-kickback statutesTrack record of strong fiscal management, business development, and external partnership buildingPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium Max 25lbs): up to 25 lbs., 0-33% of the work day (occasionally) Lifting 25 lbs. max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environmental conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks.
