Assistant Project ManagerA reputable general contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support ground-up multifamily and commercial construction projects. This role supports the Project Manager and Superintendent across all phases of construction, from preconstruction through closeout, with a focus on coordination, documentation, cost tracking, and communication.This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to grow into a Project Manager role while gaining hands-on exposure to multifamily and commercial construction projects.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Managers with day-to-day management of multifamily and commercial projectsAssist with preconstruction activities including scope review, bid analysis, and subcontractor buyoutTrack and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentationHelp maintain and update project schedules and monitor progress against milestonesAssist with cost tracking, billing, pay applications, and budget reportingCoordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure timely information flowParticipate in project meetings and assist with meeting minutes and follow-upsWork closely with Superintendents to support field coordination, safety, and quality controlSupport project closeout activities including punch lists, warranties, and final documentationQualifications25+ years of experience in construction as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar roleExperience supporting multifamily and/or commercial construction projects with a general contractorBasic understanding of construction sequencing, contracts, and cost controlStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesClear written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working with owners, design teams, and subcontractorsBachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferredCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceBonus potentialMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid holidays and PTO
