Title: Senior UX Product Designer – Design Systems & PracticesType: Contract of 12 months with possible extensionLocation: Malvern, PA 19355 (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)About Our Client:One of our leading financial services clients is seeking a Senior UX Product Designer – Design Systems & Practices to join their Digital & Analytics organization. This role will focus on building and evolving scalable design system foundations that enable product teams to deliver consistent, high-quality user experiences across a complex enterprise environment.This is an exciting opportunity for a senior-level designer with deep expertise in design systems, semantic token architecture, and design-to-code collaboration. The ideal candidate is highly strategic, systems-oriented, and passionate about leveraging AI-assisted workflows to improve design efficiency, governance, and scalability.Key Responsibilities:Design and evolve modern, AI-ready design system foundations that promote consistency, scalability, and reuse.Lead the development and implementation of semantic token architecture, including naming conventions and aligned color, typography, and spacing systems.Build system architecture that enables accurate early-stage prototyping and reduces downstream design and development rework.Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure alignment between design assets, tokens, components, and code implementation.Develop and maintain automated documentation across design and development platforms to improve adoption and reduce manual maintenance.Establish governance models, usage guidelines, and guardrails that balance flexibility with system integrity.Champion best practices in systems thinking, UX craftsmanship, and AI-assisted design workflows.Mentor cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders to adopt scalable design standards.Required Qualifications:10+ years of UX, product design, or visual design experience.Significant experience building and maintaining enterprise design systems, component libraries, and pattern ecosystems.Expertise in semantic tokens, reusable components, templates, and design governance.Strong experience collaborating with engineers on design-to-code workflows.Advanced proficiency in Figma and related design/prototyping tools.Experience implementing AI-assisted workflows to accelerate exploration while maintaining accessibility and brand consistency.Strong documentation skills with experience creating automated or scalable design documentation.Excellent visual design and systems-thinking abilities, including typography, layout, and interaction design.Portfolio showcasing relevant design system and enterprise UX work.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with semantic token architecture, theming, and multi-brand design systems.Familiarity with Storybook and design-to-development integration pipelines.Experience working in regulated environments with accessibility and compliance requirements.Background supporting marketing websites, CMS platforms, or template-driven content systems.
